The Youth Games Story..
On Saturday 14 June 2025 the Guernsey Sports Commission and Specsavers will host the 11th Guernsey Youth Games.
On the day, six teams will compete against each other in 23 different sports. All children in school years 5 or 6 can take part in the Games by competing in one of the 23 different sports.

The principal aim of the Specsavers Youth Games is to promote the value of sport to island children and the emphasis is on fun, fair play and creating a festival atmosphere.
The Games will provide an opportunity for children to take part in a large-scale event, to meet new friends, build confidence and enjoy a positive sporting experience.
The children are asked to try a sport in which they don’t normally participate. They’ll be given an opportunity to learn as much as possible about their chosen sport at dedicated coaching sessions in the weeks before the Games. These sessions will enable children to learn new skills which will be put to the test on Games Day.
Our involvement..
Guernsey Bowling Club have now offered bowls as a sport for the Youth Games for 2 years running.

We have members of the committee and club who have given up their time weekly to train 6 groups of triples, teaching them the skills they need to be able to take part in the final bowls competition on 14th June 2025.
